Mudassar Manzoor is one of the exciting new practitioners of the Contemporary Miniature movement. His work is large scale, and the size is not that of the traditional Mughal or Persian miniature. The work is large scale, because Manzoor feels that he does not want his work to engage itself with the viewer just up close. ‘I want the work to engage the viewer when he or she are at a distance, the conversation should begin and continue, as the work is enjoyed at close quarters’ Manzoor says. ‘Surreal Narratives provides a glimpse of Manzoor’s artistic oeuvre.
